The curse of too much choice.

Eloping Noosa, Sunshine Coast.

We all know what happens when we are faced with too many choices… we become fixed in a daze, not knowing what to do. It happens to me all the time in IGA’s chocolate aisle. What do I feel like? Peppermint? Fruit and Nut? Milk? Dark? White? Arghhhhh… they are all so good. I am sure brides faced with the arduous task of location selections feel similar frustrations.

There are so many great spots to tie the knot in Noosa, how do you make a choice? I plan to shed some light on particular locations and discuss the pros and cons to each delightful spot.

To begin with, I will focus on the ‘not so well known spots’ around Noosa. This week I would like to introduce you to Access 12 on Noosa’s Main Beach. I have selected access 12 as I recently had the  pleasure of photographing an absolutely gorgeous elopement at Access 12, Noosa main beach. You can check out the blog spot at http://www.melaniemcnivenweddings.com/2013/04/noosa-elopement/

Here are the pros and cons of Access 12 from my perspective as a Noosa wedding photographer.

Pros and Cons…

Pro/con: A  nice long access path that leads to the beach so you can enjoy and savor your walk down the aisle. Most of the path is sealed, however the last 15 meters is sand.

Pro: The parking area is further down the river mouth and is easier to find a park (although peak times are always difficult). It’s handy to have a car if you don’t have a lot of time to stroll back to a reception on Hasting Street.

Pro/Con: Obviously the beach is exposed and the time of day is important. If you are planning to marry in the middle of the day, shade will be hard to find. 2 hours before sunset or up to 1 hour after sunrise is the optimal time to utilise this spot.

Pro/Con: In order to find the shade of trees, you may need to walk a little down the beach.

Pro: For beautiful Noosa wedding photos you have direct access to the woods, the beach, the river and a lot of variety for bridal shots. It is also just a short stroll to the famous rock wall and Hasting Street.

Pro: This spot is perfect for an intimate wedding. A perfect place to elope in Noosa.

Con: The council will not allow large groups here.

Pro/con: Permits are required.  Further information can be obtained at http://www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/sitepage.cfm?code=wedding-ceremonies

I hope this sheds some light on Noosa wedding ceremony locations.
