Rain Day Wedding at Forest Sanctuary

When you have a forecast for 20-40mm of rain, 97 percent cloud cover and ‘heavy rain’ labelled for your ceremony time, you know you may need to be prepared for a drop or two. So a few days out, I suggested to Amy that she go shopping for some matching gum boots for the girls and some matching waterproof parasols, ‘just incase’.  Luckily, Josh and Amy were marrying at Forest Sanctuary which had two great options for wet weather and I was prepared for some creative ideas to give the newlyweds little breaks from the weather. It was torrential rain but it didn’t dampen their day what so ever. Amy and Josh were full of smiles and they knew that the rain added to the story of their day and their memories. Most importantly, they were there to marry one another in front of their family and friends in the most beautiful setting. I can’t wait to start editing their beautiful, romantic photographs, but for now, here is the sneak peek…
